Dear friends,  Another book I have been reading lately which I highly recommend, is " Quand la Chine change le monde" by Erik Izraelewicz . If you are interested to understand the evolution of the modern (dictatorial in many aspects?) Chinese state, the power dynamics of the ruling Communist Party upon business, real estate, banking, finance, investments and foreign relations, the expanding geopolitical and trading empire, the socio-economic influence of China upon the rest of the world and in the USA (recall past Presidents pre-election campaign promises to tackle or limit Chinese exports), this is a book that will not dissapoint you. On the contrary, you will be enlightened as to how China is rebuilding its once historic hegemony among other Asian tigers, currently aiming super-power global status in AI, energy and last but not least, militarily. You can probably find the book translated in your native language or English. Here's the original version in French:  https:/...

Back in 1997, Michael Ridpath published his book, Trading Reality, which I started reading recently and it definitely got me by surprise. Why? Well, I consider the author an early visioner of the coming Virtual Reality digital world(s) now taking place with all the Metaverse hype and developments. Apart from the book being a good financial thriller, navigating the reader through the peculiarities and mishappenings of the global financial world, I was excited how the author imagines the future of VR being applied to every aspect of business and social life.  You can buy the book here:  https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FMX2YS6/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i12 - Stathis Kassios

Suggested book: ''Debussy - Man and Artist'' by Oscar Thompson  Excerpt: ''How fantastic were the colors and patterns of the new music that greeted the dawn of the twentieth century in Europe! It was a music that seemed to the listener at times like a mere drift of sound that stunned the senses, at times like the unearthly flower of a world yet undiscovered. The orchestra might have been a bed of exotic blooms in the garden of dreams. The strange landscape of sound was perceived rather than heard, the listener quivered as to the blows of some great bell sunk in the ocean of ineffable pleasure, where reality and its perception were fused into each other.'' This book by Tom Holland immediately caught my attention. Was I attracted by the darkish hard cover? The title ''Dominion, The Making of the Western Mind''? In any case, by reading a few pages, standing in a bookstore in Amsterdam, it took only a few minutes to decide this would be my next pick for reading a non-conventional book for the story of the making of the western mind since the birth of Christianity. And what a relief... Strongly suggested.  Here's an excerpt: '' Formed of a great confluence of traditions - Persian and Jewish, Greek and Roman, it has long survived the collapse of the empire from which it first emerged, to become, in the words of one Jewish scholar, 'the most powerful of hegemonic cultural systems in the history of the world'. In the Middle Ages, no civilisation in Eurasia was as congruent with a single dominant set of beliefs as was the Latin West with its own distintctive form of Christianity.' ' Order the book...

Currently reading again ''Think and grow rich'' by Napoleon Hill. This book grows on you and needs a lot of self-meditation to grasp the inner meanings of its pages. Don't read this book if you have no personal goals for life or don't care about how globalization is affecting your local secure space. Here's an excerpt: ''The majority of people who fail to accumulate money sufficient for their needs, are, generally, easily influenced by the ''opinions'' of others. They permit the newspapers and the ''gossiping'' neighbors to do their ''thinking'' for them. ''Opinions'' are the cheapest commodities on earth. Everyone has a flock of opinions ready to be wished upon anyone who will accept them. If you are influenced by ''opinions'' when you reach decisions, you will not succeed in any undertaking, much less in that of transmuting your own desire into money. If you are infl...
