Suggested summer read: I hope you are having the best vacations. ''Totem and Taboo'' is a very interesting book published in 1913 by Sigmund Freud. The psychoanalytic approach on the ancient tribes of the world compared to modern day neurotics makes me think how we can use this knowledge and apply it in order to understand the hierarchic relationships inside our families, work environment, how we construct our idols, how we obey our ''masters'', how we crave for power, how we flirt with the forbidden, love or despise the holy, reject or embrace the pure. Our ethics and traditions, our norms are based on old totems and taboos. Buy the book here
